As a newlywed, I helped to support my husband as he worked on his Master
of Divinity degree in New Testament. Although I had just graduated at the
Christian College with my Bachelor of Arts, our small town did not offer
many job options, so I worked at a fancy restaurant in town that was owned
by the parents of one of the Christian College students.
Many wonderful people visited that restaurant including people in their fifties, sixties, and
seventies, and I discovered a common thread in their lives: They did not tell me about their amazing
careers or their beautiful homes; instead, they proudly shared the joy their children and
grandchildren and great grandchildren brought to their lives. That is exactly how my mom felt, and
all of this reinforced my commitment to my family and to every family throughout my life.
The Children’s Ministry at Sun City West Christian Church is designed to support and encourage
you, your children, your grandchildren, and your great grandchildren, as you share your love for
God and His Son, Jesus Christ.
We are here every Sunday morning (9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.) for you and your family. We love
them, laugh with them, cheer for them, encourage them, and teach them truths from God’s Word so that the baton of faith in your family is passed to future generations.
The Bible reminds us of Jesus’ perspective on children: “But Jesus called the children to him and
said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to
such as these’” (Luke 18:16). Sun City West Christian Church provides opportunities for you to
share Jesus with your children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
In addition to Sunday School each week, we are also hosting a Vacation Bible School at the church
on June 8th , 9th , and 10th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with lunch provided at noon for the
children and the VBS volunteers. We hope you will register your loved ones online or on the phone
